The second edition of the Summer Slam – Fully Loaded Softball will feature some of the best softballers in the world battle it out in a six-team tournament over three nights at Blacktown International Sportspark from 3-5 February 2020.

Leading the teams will again be six of Travelodge Aussie Spirit stars all vying to become Summer Slam champions in the New Year.

One of Australia’s best pitchers, Kaia Parnaby, has again been named captain of the Fury who were crowned inaugural champions back in February after defeating the Emeralds.

ACT product Clare Warwick will do her best to lead the green team to go one better in 2020 after they finished runners-up to the Fury.

Queensland representative Carmie Sorensen took the Bandits through to the semi-finals undefeated before their streak of five wins was ended by the eventual champions, she’ll again skipper the team.

Big hitters in the Travelodge Aussie Spirit line-up Chelsea Forkin and Leigh Godfrey will captain the Riot and Lightning respectively while Australian captain Stacey Porter heads up the Panthers once again.

Following the success of the inaugural Summer Slam – Fully Loaded Softball tournament, the exciting fast-paced format will return with an all new look to primetime on FOX SPORTS Australia and Kayo from 3-5 February 2020.

Sports apparel company and Softball Australia partner First Ever have given the uniforms and logos of the Fury, Lightning, Emeralds, Riot, Bandits and Panthers a facelift with the entire range now available for purchase.
